"Christina creates a wonderful virtual space for us to work in - thoughtful, creative and fun. She brilliantly adapts her style to suit my requirements of the session e.g. whether I want her to be challenging or supportive. I can thoroughly recommend Christina." Independent Coach
I'm a fully qualified and Accredited Master Coach Supervisor (Association for Coaching) with over 300 hours of supervision practice. I am insured and work to the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors, which you can find details of here.
I provide Coach Supervision for coaches with all levels of experience - please contact me if you would like to discuss options for this, find out more or book a familiarisation/chemistry call. Supervision can be online or face to face (location dependent) and we can also take it outdoors to a number of beautiful NE England locations.
Exciting new offer for Summer 2026: Seaside Supervision!
This Summer I will be experimenting with small group supervisions outdoors, by the seaside!
This will be playful, experiential and co-created group supervision, using the seaside to expand and inform our thinking and practice.
I'm running two sessions - one in June and one in August.
The sessions will all take place in a seaside location in North Tyneside or South Northumberland to give us a different landscape each time to inspire us.
The sessions are for practising Executive or Life Coaches at all levels of experience, who would like to invite the seaside into their supervision experience.
Each group session will be 1.5 hours and will be limited to a max. of 4 each session.
The August session is now sold out. If you want to be in line for the next outdoor supervisions get in touch or sign up to my newsletter, to be among the first to hear.
I write regular 'Notes from A Coach Supervisor' articles on LinkedIn that tackle and reflect on many of the common issues and concerns that come up for coaches, and that they bring to supervision sessions to discuss. You can find these here: https://www.linkedin.com/in/christinagatescoach/recent-activity/articles/
Coach Supervision covers these broad areas:
-
Supportive/Restorative – a space for reflection, questions, feedback, and guidance
-
Developmental – providing education/information to help further develop your skills, knowledge and confidence
-
Quality Assurance – ensuring the work you complete is professional and ethical
-
Business - for independent coaches, focusing on matters relating to your business.
Supervision enables you to develop your understanding, awareness, skills and confidence and is as essential for new coaches, as it is for those more established in their practice. Supervision gives you a safe space to reflect on all aspects of your work and yourself as a coach, as part of a learning partnership. It is about building your capacity, as well as your capability, by helping you to make more sense of what goes on for you, your client and in the interactions between you.
I bring an eclectic style as a coaching supervisor – using a range of approaches, models and tools - working with the specific needs of the coach (and their clients) in mind.
Supervision can be undertaken on a one-to-one basis and also contracted as a pair (dyad) or a group. I supervise both independent coaches and those working within organisations, as part of their wider role.
If you are interested in discussing coaching supervision options with me and/or booking a ‘familiarisation’ call, then please get in touch.
