Terms and Conditions for Seaside Supervision

Throughout ‘we’ and ‘us’ refers to Christina Gates Ltd and ‘you’ means the person booking, and/or paying for the service.

Bookings, Payments and Cancellations

Payment is paid in full at the time of booking and includes all fees and charges.

You can cancel up to 14 days before the event for a refund minus 10% to cover essential admin charges.  No cancellations can be made after this time.  In most circumstances, we will allow you to transfer your ticket to another person or future event, but please contact us first to discuss and arrange.

The price includes group supervision only. 

Alterations and Cancellation by us:  Sessions will go ahead unless there is a weather warning that indicates risk of harm to us, in which case we will rearrange the session to the next available date. . 

We reserve the right to cancel the event if we do not have enough participants to make it viable to run, or due to an unavoidable situation such as illness of the supervisor.  In these cases we will provide a full refund or offer a transfer of your ticket to a future date.

Health and Safety, Risk and Liability

We will take reasonable steps in relation to the health and safety of attendees at the event including providing a health and safety briefing at the beginning of the session and undertaking a Risk Assessment prior to the event.  However the responsibility for health and safety issues remains with you, the client, throughout. You are responsible for looking after your own wellbeing and for letting us know if you have any health conditions that we need to be aware of within the context of working outdoors. We will accept no liability for any injury or accidents that occur during the event. 

Respect and Inclusivity

By booking on this event, you agree to be respectful and considerate of other attendees, the facilitator, other people visiting the location, wildlife and nature and the group’s shared enjoyment of the experience.  

We believe in treating everyone equally and with the same attention, courtesy and respect regardless of their age, disability, gender, marital status, race, racial group, colour, ethnic or national origin, nationality, religion, belief or sexual orientation.  We will not tolerate discrimination, and should anyone act in a discriminatory way, we will ask them to leave the session.  Those asked to leave will not be entitled to a refund.

Practical information for our day

How do I get to the location? Full details of where to meet including suggestions on where to park will be provided 14 days before the session date. 

What will accessibility be like at the seaside? When on the beach and surrounding areas, it may not be firm underfoot in places and may involve some rocky areas.   This may not suit someone with some mobility issues.  If you are unsure please contact me for a discussion about it.

What should I wear?  We will be outdoors for the full session, whatever the weather, so please come prepared.  Wear clothes you are comfortable in and suitable for the weather that days bring.  We suggest suitable sturdy, closed toe footwear for your own comfort and safety when on the beach and it's different terrains. 

What other facilities are there for our day? There will be public toilets open and somewhere to get a drink and snack before/after.   

What should I bring?  Drinking water, sunscreen, sunglasses, warm layers, a hat, a portable sitting mat/pad, waterproof, snack, notebook and pen, a camera phone. Any medications you need. 

What are the timings for the session?  We will gather from 10 minutes  before the start time and complete our health and safety briefing and contracting promptly.  If you arrive after this time you may not be able to join the group. No refunds will be given for late arrivals. Each session will last 90 minutes. 

What else is important to know?  This is a shared public space with other visitors so we will need to be respectful of them and the confidentiality of our discussions.   

Will this be a 'proper' supervision group and count towards my Continuing Professional Development hours?  Yes, this will be a coach supervision group, led by an Accredited Master Coach Supervisor,  where we will work together on what we bring to discuss.  This may be about you as a coach, about a client, about something you are noticing in your practice. We will be using our natural surroundings for prompts, insights and metaphors.  You should be able to claim up to 1.5 hours of Group Supervision.
